SCIENCE UNIT 2: LOOK AFTER YOURSELF
In this unit we are studying how to look after our body. We are learning about healthy food and different ways to be healthy and strong.

Food is very important to be healthy and strong.
FOOD GROUPS
There are 6 food groups: FATS, DAIRY PRODUCTS, PROTEINS, VEGETABLES, FRUITS AND CARBOHIDRATES (CEREALS).
FATS AND CARBOHIDRATES give us ENERGY.
WE CAN EAT BUT JUST A LITTLE...
DAIRY PRODUCTS give us CALCIUM= GOOD FOR BONES AND TEETH.
PROTEINS help us GROW and have big muscles.
VEGETABLES AND FRUIT help us be healthy. They have goot a lot of vitamins and fibre.
